Students in the Social Therapy Program at Camphill Village USA in Copake, NY join the community as residential volunteer coworkers, becoming part of a house community that includes adults with special needs, as well as other coworkers and their families. Residential coworker benefits include room and board, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and a full tuition scholarship for the Camphill School of Curative Education and Social Therapy.
The curriculum includes academic and artistic coursework, supervised practice in home life and care, cooperative work and therapy, and the experience of community life.
First Year
The first year leads to a Certificate in Foundation Studies in Anthroposophic Social Therapy. It may be used to fulfill foundation studies requirements for many other anthroposophic courses.

Fourth Year
A Diploma in Social Therapy is awarded after completion of the fourth year and an additional six month internship. The Diploma is recognized by the International Curative Education and Social Therapy Council. Its holders are entitled to use the professional designation ‘Certificate in Social Therapy’ or ‘CST.’

BA Completion Options
The first two years of the Social Therapy Program have received College Credit Recommendations through the University of the State of New York’s National College Credit Recommendation Service (National CCRS, formerly National PONSI), allowing students to earn college credit through Excelsior College’s transcript service and apply their coursework towards suitable B.A. completion programs, such as Prescott College’s limited residency Adult Degree Program.
